Day 14: Someone you have drifted away from

Dear old friend,
We have drifted away, and I don't know why. I miss you. We had such fun times together, and we understood each other. We were so crazy, and I loved it. I hope we can someday become friends yet again. You are great, and I still love you.
Love, Karlie

Day 13: Someone you wish would forgive you

Dear Aunts,
I don't know what we did to make you not like us, but I really wish you could forgive, and learn to love us. I hope you can forgive us for whatever we did to make you not like us. I wish we could feel like family. I wish we knew each other better, and we were close. I pray everyday that something inside will change, and you will become part of the family, not the blood part, but the bonded part. I love you and your families, and I want you to know that. Please remember that we are a part of an eternal family.
Love,
Your neice, Karlie

Day 12: The person who has caused you the most pain

Dear Blake Jolley,
The terrible pain I have right now is because of you. I know you didn't mean to drop a giant backpack with 2 textbooks and a binder on my pinkie toe, but it was quite painful. Although it hurts, it was totally hilarious watching you try and karate fight me, then seeing you try to scare me with my brother's backpack, and accidentally dropping it on me. It hurts to put on my shoes, and sometimes it hurts to walk. My toe is now a very nice shade of purple. It's so funny how when you try and hurt me you cant, but when you don't try, I'm injured. Thanks for the laughs. I will always remember your face and noises while you tried to defeat me. Just to let you know, I totally won our little duel :)
Love,
Karlie

Day 11: Someone who has died

Dear Grandma,
I really miss you. Well I'm almost grown up now, and I'm not the little girl I used to be. Everyone has changed, actually a lot has changed since you left. I wish you could have seen how I am, and how I will be. I wish you could have been there for the rest of my accomplishments and my let-downs. I wish things could have been different, and you didn't have to go through so much pain. I think about you a lot. I'm so grateful for everything you did for me. You did so much, and you changed my life. I will always miss you, but I know you're in a better place. I love you so much, and I can't wait for the day I get to see you again.

Day 10: Someone you don't talk to as much as you'd like to

Dear Friend,
We used to have a lot of classes together, but now we don't, and we hardly ever get to see each other anymore. I wish we saw each other more. I really miss being with you. You are so cute, fun, entertaining, funny, and such a great friend. Let's hang out more. I miss you.
Love, Karlie

Day 9: Someone you wish you could meet

Dear David,
I know that I technically 'met you' once, but all you did was sit at a table and sign books. The ladies rushed me on by, and I only got one tiny glance at you. We didn't even get to talk, and I don't even think you saw me. Anyway, let's fix that. Let's meet for real. I just want to say I love how you are such a sweet guy, and not a lame face like most celebrities. I like how you are shy, yet when you sing, all the angels stop to listen. I love your music, and I can't wait for you new cd to come out. I hope your life is successful, and all that fame doesn't change who you are. You are great :)

Also...
Dear Zac, Cory, Nathan, and Craig,
Oh my heck. I love you guys so much. I wish I could meet you. I would write more to all of you, but my brother and his friends are forcing me off the computer. Anyway, just know that I love you, and am one of your biggest fans. You are my favorite celebrities. Someday we WILL meet :)
Love,
a hopeless romantic

Day 8: Your favorite Internet friend

Dear Internet friends,
I don't have a favorite, because you are all my favs :)
Thanks for all the fun times with facebook, e-mail, and blogging.
I love you all :)
you are the best.
Love, Karlie

Day 7: Your ex love/crush

Dear Boy,
Well things were great with us for a while, then you turned into someone else. We were best friends. What happened? I'll tell you what happened. You got too cool for me and broke all your promises, then we went our seperate ways. I was mad and hurt at first, but I'm over you now, and things are going good, maybe even better. I know you think that I hate you, but I honestly don't. I'm glad we got to be friends for the time we were, and for all the good times we had. I have a lot of fun memories with you, and now we have both moved on to new things, and that's ok. Sorry for all my immature ways of handling stuff. If I were to do it all over again, I would probably be a much different person now. Thank you for all you did for me the time we were friends. I hope the rest of your life is great. See you around.
Love,
Karlie

Day 6: A Stranger

Dear little French girl in Moab,
Remember when I saw you on one of my hikes? You were crying to your mom in French. I'm sorry, but it was one of the funniest things I have ever seen. I felt really bad for you, but I didn't understand a single word you were saying, since I don't know French. It just sounded so funny with all your sobs mixed in with your French, and to me it sounded like "a gousdhfgutg *gasp* a afooogasultra!" Thanks for making me laugh, and giving me, my mom, and my brother fun times with our fake crying in our own versions of French. :)

Day 5: Your Dreams

Dear Dreams,
You sure are great. Sometimes you can be quite weird and terrifying, but most of the time I love you. I guess it's good that your not real, or my life would be quite random. I love the dreams you give me that make me never want to wake up. You make my (sleep) life thrilling, and exhilarating. If you think about it, dreams are one of the coolest things ever. Sleeping is one of my favorite things because of you. Each dream is something different, and something great. Thanks for all the fun times. I love you :)

Day 4: Siblings

Yay! My internet is working again, so I'm going to take a small break from AP projects! Alright, here it goes..

Dear Jacie,
you are one of my very bestest friends. I love being with you, and I love everything about you.
You are so sweet to everyone, and you always care about me no matter what. You are so fun,
and just great. I love our little car trips together. I'm so glad you're my sister. Even though you're my younger sister, I still look up to you all the time. I wish I could be more like you. I don't know what I would do without you. Love you bunches.

Dear Tawnie,
I love it when you get in your hyper, funny moods.Whenever you get talking about Chinese, Harriett Tubman, America, boys, or when you get scared of a bug or Shel silverstein, you crack me up. I love being with you. Thanks for always cheering me on in everything I do.You are so talented in many ways, and so gorgeous. I love you so much. Don't you ever ever forget it. We couldn't live without you. You make life exciting. You're the best! Love you!

Dear Colton,
Man, you are seriously the best. You're super tall, super smart, and according to your little friends...beastly ;)
I love how we can tease each other all the time, and still be best buds. You make me laugh so hard. You're so good at everything you do, so whenever I beat you at something, I only scream because it's a rare joy in my life. I don't know how I could live without you. Thanks for letting me smell your cologne. You're the best  13 year old brother anyone could ask for. I'm really going to miss you a ton when I leave for college. Thanks for everything you do for me. Love ya Brotha!

Dear Tate,
I love ya bud. You are so cute and fun. I love watching you play with all your guns, action figures, and legos. You are so funny when you sleep talk/walk. You always make sure everyone is happy, and you always show us that you care. Thanks for always loving me and my friends, and caring about what's going on in our lives. I love playing games with you, and everything we do together. You make me smile when you tell me all about random boy stuff, that I hardly know what you're talking about, and when you make funny faces. You make life fun. I love you so much. I'm glad that I have a brother like you.

Day 3: Your Parents

Dear Mom and Dad,
You guys are seriously the greatest parents anyone could ever have. You are such good examples to me, and I want to be just like you when I grow up. I wouldn't be who I am today without you two by my side. You are my heroes. Thanks for all you do, and thanks for always being there for me no matter what. We've been so many places together, and every trip has been a blast. You always make sure our family is having fun, no matter what we are doing. You always help me, my siblings, and everyone around you with whatever you can do. You have taught me that serving others makes me a happier person. Even when I'm a bum, you always always love me, and show that you care. Whenever I'm having a bad day, you try and make it better. You always make sure that everything is going well, and you assure me that everything will be ok. Thanks for teaching me the right ways, and how to deal with life when it comes my way. Even when you run around the house in ridiculous costumes when a cute boy is over, try and get me to read boring finance books, and force feed me gross health drinks, I don't even care, because it all just makes me love you more. I can never express how grateful I am for all you do for me each and every day. Thanks for everything. I love you both so much, and I'm glad that I have the chance to spend forever with you. You are the best! Love you!

Day 2: Someone you Secretly think is Cute

Dear Secret Cute Boy,
It's no secret that I think you're cute. All my friends know...except you. I love it when you say hi to me in the halls, and how you wrote "Karlie, you are so awesome! I'm glad we're friends. We need to have more classes together!" in my yearbook, even though you don't really know me.
I love how you're a cowboy, and how we both love country music. When you wear your boots, I can't help but smile. I don't know why, but I'm a sucker for cowboy boots and cowboy hats.
Your so nice to everyone, and you always have a smile on your face. I wish we could be better friends.
We should ride horses off into the sunset together. ;)
Love,
Karlie

Day 1: Best Friend

Dear Best Friend,
Thanks for always being there for me. You've been with me through all my happiness, my embarassing moments, my let-downs, my heart breaks, my triumphs, and my joys, and no matter what happens, you always care about me, and you love me for who I am. Whenever I'm with you, no matter what we do, I have so much fun. I love how we can do nothing together, and yet still have fun. You make me laugh, and you always know how to make me smile. Whenever I'm sad, you cheer me right up. You always know how to make my day. I love how we can talk about anything and everything, and how it's not akward. I love how I can be myself around you, and how you are always always nice to me even when I'm a jerk. You never make me feel like I'm not important, and you always listen. You've been my best friend since the day we met, and I wouldn't have it any other way.  I don't know how I could live without you. You're just so darn great! Thanks for everything. Love ya tons.  Friends Forever :)

EFY

Like I said, my next post would be about efy. Let's just say it was great :) I made new friends and learned a whole lot. I felt the spirit so strong everyday, and I loved it. I went to the day one at Weber State, and stayed at my friend Karli's grandma's house. She is a hoot. We decided she's going to be my adopted grandma. Me and Karli had so much fun together with everybody every day. I was so glad that we got to go and have such a great experience. It was fabulous! :)

Who knew sunburns, blisters, dust, and dirt could be so fun?

So basically I have been gone at trek and efy for the past two weeks, and let me tell ya, both of them were amazing and so so so much fun.
Let me start with trek, then I will do efy on the next post....
Trek was one of the hardest things I have ever done. I was dirty, sunburned, blistered, hiking in a dress, and tired, but I didn't even care one bit, and it was so worth it. I loved every second of it, and I didn't want to come home. I think it's the funnest thing I have done all summer long. I had the greatest family, and we bonded so much. We stayed up until 2 in the morning the last night playing games and talking. We had so much fun together everyday. It really felt like we were a true family, and I love them so much. I miss them already, and it's only been a week and a half. Man, it was just so so great. It was the best experience ever! I'm so glad that my mom made me go. She is always right. She said I would have fun, but I didn't belive her, and now I wish I was back in the barren, hot, dry, desert with my family pulling a heavy handcart instead of sitting here in my air conditioned home. :)
