A Very Napoleon Post

So we were walking down the hall in the Institute building, and all of the sudden we see this very Kip like guy, by himself, doing ninja moves in the hall!! As soon as he saw us, he put his head down and hurried away all awkward like. We couldn't help but laugh.

AND THEN...
My Dad drove me and Lynds out to Preston Idaho for some ice cream and an adventure. Also, we just really wanted to see Napoleon Dynamite’s house. We didn’t know where it was, so we asked some junior high boys walking down the street. I asked them, “Do you know where Napoleon lives?” They just looked at me like I was stupid, and replied, ”Yeah, he just lives down the street!” In my excitement, I responded, “really?!!,” but what happened next was unexpected. The dude yelled, “NO! He doesn’t live here!” 

That guy was dumb. I know the actual Napoleon Dynamite doesn’t actually live there, I meant where it was filmed. I did not enjoy being attacked by a Napoleon Dynamite hater, but it was still funny. Sadly, we never found the house, but we did see the high school and some geese, so I’d say it was all worth while J

Goodbye

Today I said goodbye to my best friend for two whole years. It was perfect. 

Here's a little entry from my journal: "Chase stood there looking at me for a sec, then he gave me the best hug I have ever received. Ever. He held me so tight, and so close. I said, “thanks for everything,” and he just held me tighter. Man, what a hug. He didn’t need to say anything, because he had said everything that needed to be said in that hug.  I can’t really explain what I felt, but I can say that as he hugged me, I knew that everything was going to be ok....As I walked out he said, "See you in two!"...I looked at him in the window, and he just stood there watching me get in my car. I took one last look at him, then drove away."

Man, he is so great. He's going to be the best missionary there ever was!

I can't NOT post this

I JUST DIED

First College Date

I went on my very first college date today! His name is Russ, and he's in my ward. Before tonight, this was the only conversation we had ever had:
K:"Hi, can I sit here?" R:"Yeah." K:"I'm Karlie, what's your name?" R:"I'm Russ."
We went to the First Presidency Christmas devotional, then walked around temple square to see the lights. It was good, but he forgot to feed me, so by the time it was over, I was a ravenous pig. Don't judge, I only had two granola bars all day.
